Key Responsibilities

  • Available to cover all shifts, weekends and be on-call as required.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and contribute towards improvement in maintenance department.
  • Be dedicated to safety and respect safety hazards as related to the machines and your job.
  • Ability to plan, troubleshoot, repair, fill out requisitions for items that need to be sent for repair as well as new part requirements with proper specifications.
  • Ability to bring the machine to the same level as before a breakdown (including clean up, putting the tools back, filling required forms for future and other team members reference).
  • Ability to communicate and share knowledge thoroughly with others.
  • Ability to learn and progress to highest maintenance skill level within the company.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be motivated to take on new responsibilities and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete PM’s, set up and troubleshooting Procedures for Plant Equipment.
  • Ability to undertake all aspects of continuous improvement projects from design stage to completion for any production equipment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Carry out technical PM’s, review and adapt PM procedures with your supervisor.
  • Show initiative in helping develop new PM’s as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns and out of standard conditions.
  • Write reports on breakdowns for follow-up on equipment listings.
  • Participate in development of CI projects for press, Injection Moulding and Paintline equipment from design to implementation.

  • Maintain presses, injection Moulding and Paintline equipment.
  • Report and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Assist in the development of repair, set-up and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Update press, injection unit and Paintline equipment documentation as required.
  • Responsible for proper handling, storage and disposal of all chemicals, used materials and equipment.
  • Maintain 5S standards.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp TS16949 policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with Section 28 of the OHSA.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.
  • Any other reasonable request made by Management.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Certified Mechanic and Industrial Electrician (dual ticket).
  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent years’ work experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years hands-on experience in an Injection Moulding manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles and Robotics applications.
  • Good understanding of electromechanical systems.
  • Good knowledge of structured troubleshooting for Computerized Hydraulic System.
  • Knowledge of PLC Programming, if required.
  • Basic understanding of the computer.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical circuits.
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control.
  • Must have ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must have proven ability that above noted knowledge can be applied on a practical level.
  • Must have a positive attitude with a sense of urgency.
