We are looking for a bilingual motivated, self-starting and technically savvy Marketing & Communication Specialist with sharp skills to join our team. BlueStar is the leading global distributor of solutions-based Digital Identification, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, IoT, AI. AR, M2M, Digital Signage, Networking, Blockchain, and Security technology solutions. BlueStar works exclusively with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to provide complete solutions, custom configuration offerings, business development, and marketing support. This position provides a rare opportunity to live in Montreal and work across an elite team of passionate individuals.

The Marketing Communications Specialist works closely with the Marketing Manager and team members to execute on marketing initiatives that build brand awareness both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is able to develop graphic content for corporate, customer and end-user communications based upon detailed technical documentation, partner resources and internal team communications. The Marketing & Communication specialist is primarily responsible for applying graphic-design principles to solve digital graphic communication needs and assisting the Business Development & Marketing teams in their everyday job duties. As such, you will be working primarily with a remote team to facilitate activities noted below.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and design emails in HubSpot
  • Content Development for marketing and business materials across various B2B business segments
  • Design and execute digital marketing campaigns (Such as LinkedIn)
  • Execute inbound, content marketing campaigns including landing pages, social and more
  • Design promotional materials
  • Translation of Marketing Material (English to French)
  • Assist in managing and maintain company’s web properties
  • Social Media understanding, management and content development (primarily LinkedIn)
  • Create marketing material through the use of Photoshop for various events and campaigns.
  • Execute & analyze results of marketing campaigns and advertisements
  • Able to travel throughout Canada and potentially the United States helping BlueStar with tradeshows (about 4 times a year)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in graphic design, Marketing, Communication or similar
  • 2-5 years marketing, content creation or design experience
  • Master multi-tasker
  • Expert capabilities in Adobe Creative Suite CC and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proficiency in both Mac and Windows
  • Must be attentive to detail, be able to work under pressure, and be creative!
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English & French – but more English oriented)
  • Understanding of and/or ability to learn software programs such as content management systems, marketing project management software
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and a self-starter
  • Shows strong initiative and a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to travel 10% at least

Must have online portfolio or provide PDF examples of work

Not required but a plus:

  • Experience with Hubspot or other email marketing services
  • Skills in video production as well as photography.
  • Video and sound editing experience; Final Cut, After Effects, etc

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $39,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
