Beaumont Medical is a local Family Practice which provides excellent, quality care to each of our patients in the quaint community of Beaumont, AB. Located 1.0 km south of Edmonton, Beaumont is the 7th Fastest Growing Community in Canada, with a population of over 17,700.

Our family practice works in association with the Leduc Beaumont Devon Primary Care Network. You will be joining a dynamic and fun team of 8 physicians and an amazing group of experienced MOAs. In addition to having an active PCN program including a referral coordinator, we also have 3 members of the Team Based Care initiative working in our office to help care for our patients.

The job posting is for a Maternity leave with a minimum of 18 months with potential for more permanent employment. The successful candidate will be energetic, positive, thoughtful and has a strong regard to protect patient confidentiality.

Specific Job duties include but are not limited to providing:

  • Answer phones and contacting patients for various issues;
  • Book patient appointments;
  • Book external investigative appointments;
  • Create and maintain patient charts through EMR;
  • Manage and fax patient reports/information as required;
  • Collect payments from patients for uninsured services;
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed; and
  • Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of exam rooms and office area.

  • 1-2 years previous medical office experience in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong abilities to multitask
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable and be a quick learner
  • Experience with a EMR necessary; Telus Health MedAccess an asset
  • Medical Office Assistant certificate an asset
