GFL is hiring an experienced Millwright (Maintenance Technician) - The Millwright will be based out of our Delta location and will support the composting site in Ladner with repairs and maintenance of equipment. The ideal candidate has experience repairing and maintaining equipment related to screeners, grinders and conveyor systems

Job Duties:
Millwright
Ability to work on various components such as mills/drums/conveyors/ motors/etc.
Experience and knowledge onsite metal fabrication (and or emergency repair) and assembly / installation of conveyors and drums (as listed above) etc.
Experience and Knowledge of hoisting and rigging / working with cranes, telehandlers and manlifts
Experience and Knowledge of Replacing speed reducers, bearings, chains, cylinders
Experience and Knowledge of part identification and installation procedures / bearings, pumps, chains, reducers etc.
Experience and Knowledge of conveyors, belting, tracking and weigh bridges
Experience and Knowledge of hydraulics systems unloading valves, pumps, accumulators and cylinders and valve manifolds and solenoids
Experience and Knowledge of pneumatic systems, FRL’s, piping , solenoid valves ,cylinders and rebuild kits
Experience and Knowledge of maintenance on various conveyors / elevators and conveyors
Experience and Knowledge of various drum drives and trunnion and tire alignment Disassemble and reassemble various pumps and speed reducers
Experience and Knowledge of motor replacement and various couplers/ various Fan types and maintenance
Welding
Experience and Knowledge in following drawings and various components, conveyors etc.
Experience and Knowledge of pipe fitting and pipe welding procedures working with various pipe schedules and sizes
Experience and Knowledge shop and field practices for standard stick and mig-welding
Ability to interpret drawings and fabricate various components as previously listed
Electrical
Experience and Knowledge of basic preliminary electrical trouble shooting and use of multimeter.

Qualifications:
College diploma or completed levels of Red Seal Millwright program
Experience maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Welding experience
Effective organization and scheduling experience
Computer literate
Valid Driver's License
Comfort in working in a rugged indoor environment
Safety conscious
