ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, procurement and logistics, human resources, communications as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, innovation and digital transformation).


YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:


Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Projects, you will be part of the Business Improvement department. You will be responsible to support the development and implementation of planning systems and processes, primarily using the Deswik suite, to meet AEM’s various needs at its operations, technical services, and corporate level (budget monitoring).

Specifically, you will:

  • Coordinate and help implement different modules of the Deswik Suite at various AEM operations;
  • Provide tool and template support for the Deswik Suite;
  • Integrate and develop AEM’s multidisciplinary Deswik Group;
  • Assist with resource and reserve evaluation as required;
  • Provide support to operations and technical services, including coordinating training sessions, overseeing implementations of Deswik modules and providing recommendations on improving site engineering processes;
  • Work closely with the Innovation and Digital Transformation groups and identify ways Deswik can help achieve the objectives of the digital strategy;
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians and support the professional development of AEM personnel;
  • Be an active participant in Community of Practice workshops and improve institutional knowledge.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • University degree in mine engineering with membership in a professional order;
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience;
  • Advanced knowledge of mine planning (e.g. design, scheduling, OPEX and CAPEX cost estimates);
  • Proficiency in mine design and planning software such as Deswik and Datamine;
  • Available to travel to various AEM sites;
  • Strong communication and teaching skills (e.g., preparing and presenting training sessions, implementing new strategies, documenting and developing work procedures and standards);
  • Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.

Your Work Schedule

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Possibility of telecommuting on certain days;
  • Workplace: when presence in the office is required, you can work in our offices closest to your residence, either in Rouyn-Noranda, Val d'Or, Mirabel or Toronto.
