North American Staffing Services is currently hiring MRO Buyer for a Plastic manufacturing company located in Orangeville.

Position : MRO Buyer / Inventory Controller

Location : Orangeville

Job Type : 1.5 years ( Contract )

Pay Range : $ 28.87 - $ 33.78 per hour

Job Duties :

• Obtain new and replacement parts for Orangeville Plant. Works with preferred suppliers while sourcing other vendors as needed. Negotiates costs to ensure company is receiving the most cost-efficient items while still maintaining top quality products and service. Ensures purchase order accuracy and resolves any cost/product discrepancies with vendors.
• Tracks shipments from order point to receipt; ensuring parts are delivered on time to prevent production downtime. Resolves invoice discrepancies.
• Receives parts in the stores following best practices and physically moves the parts to appropriate location.
• Sets up new parts in Megamation or SAP as necessary.
• Provides training in Megamation or SAP as needed.
• Generates various storeroom performance and metric reports for management review.

Requirements :

• Post-Secondary Diploma
• PMAC certification is a preference but not required
• Purchasing experience
• Knowledge of inventory control management
• Five years of manufacturing experience
• Technical knowledge & experience (equipment parts, components, modules)
• Proficient in Windows applications (MS Word, Excel, ERP system) and Internet.
• Megamation experience/knowledge is a preference but not required
• SAP experience/knowledge is desired
• Strong planning and organizational skills and decision-making capabilities
• Good communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally with peers groups and vendors
• Strong problems solving skills (issue resolution, and root cause analysis)
• Strong written and verbal business communication
• Some lifting required
• Perform well under pressure
• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
• Follow good practices of business confidentiality
