Position Summary
The OntarioLearn/Online Learning Specialist is responsible for development and growth of a comprehensive strategic business unit in the Registrar’s Office including enrolment projections, financial goals, invoicing/reconciliation, Banner ( SIS ) setup and reporting mechanisms. The OntarioLearn courses are hosted by colleges from across the province.
This position also works closely with the Academic Schools and college departments in relation to course/program outlines, testing and invigilation services, tuition rates, payments, and refunds, etc. The incumbent provides administrative support to the college community as the institution’s administrative lead resource for Online Learning courses.

Minimum of three (3) years
Type of Experience
Minimum three years practical experience in problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, and planning in an adult education setting. Thorough understanding and knowledge of online learning platforms and online course delivery. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Understanding of adult education principles and learning styles with practical experience in selecting and using online/distance technologies and acting as college resource for online instructional delivery strategies.
Experience in evaluating online courses, quickly responding to feedback, coaching teachers in online dynamics and effective instruction/collaboration techniques.
Practical knowledge of Internet program protocols and technology trends
Superior public relations skills, tact and diplomacy for building internal cooperation and representing College with external agencies.
Demonstrated record of financial management and innovative marketing skills to establish, implement, and meet targets.
Knowledge of employment and educational growth trends, learning systems and effective ways to deliver online courses to the student.
Demonstrated time management, project management, program development, market research, curriculum planning, budget applications, proposal writing, and presentation skills
Working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheets and
databases
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative in ensuring quality and financial success of courses and programs.
Sophisticated analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment and evaluation skills to assess students’ needs, design appropriate certificates in consultation with academic partners.
Excellent communication skills in order to articulate students’ needs and promote the Continuing Education division to the internal stakeholders and to potential students
Demonstrates the analytical and organizational ability to manage a number of complex courses and/or programs simultaneously.
Demonstrate group leadership using strong consultative skills
