Role:
Outreach Consultant – Child Care Resource & Referral
Wage:
$23.00 – 24.00 per hour
Benefits:

About the Program:
The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the YMCA of Northern BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe, Tumbler Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.
Responsibilities of this role:
- Provide services and support to child care providers and parents East to McBride, North to Mackenzie and West to Burns Lake
- Work directly within the family resource program
- Manage the daily operation and delivery of services to children and parent/caregivers
- Aim to continuously improve the accessibility, affordability, and quality of child care in all B.C. communities
- To know, understand and maintain all BC Government CCRR Program Standards and Child Care Act & Regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of information related to children, families, and staff
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Educator license to practice
- 2-3 years of experience working with children and families in a group recreational/child care setting
- Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search
- Immunization record including TB test
- Three satisfactory professional references
