S3 Group Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator to join our team at our offices in Swift Current, SK. This is a full-time position starting immediately.

The Payroll Coordinator manages all aspects of the company's bi-weekly payroll, administers the employee benefit program, and prepares annual T4 and WCB filings. Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Manage timekeeping systems for the purposes of payroll and costing
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian entities, including appropriate remittances and reconciliations
  • Prepare annual T4s and WCB filings
  • Administer employee benefit programs
  • Manage absence tracking system
  • Prepare monthly payroll metrics reports for management
  • Assist with new hire orientations
  • Recommend, review, monitor, enforce, and audit payroll systems and procedures
  • Manage documents and personnel files related to payroll
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in business
  • Preference given to candidates with Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) or Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designations
  • Proven ability to perform routine, detailed work accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read legislation (i.e. Saskatchewan Employment Act) for understanding
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel & Word
  • Capable of adapting to and learning new software applications
  • Positive and co-operative team player
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Proven confidentiality
