As our business continue to grow, our finance department is looking to add a Payroll Data Entry Clerk to its team.

Key Accountabilities:

Working as part of the Finance team for multiple divisions and under general direction of the Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Data Entry Clerk is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely reporting of payroll and related reports.

Shift Schedule: Sunday to Thursday (8:30am to 5pm)

  • Manage daily processing and weekly reporting of employee timesheets.
  • Check payroll database for accuracy and update data with salary adjustments, as needed.
  • Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. new hires)
  • Produce reports to upper management upon request.
  • Answer employee inquiries or complaints and investigate payment discrepancies.
  • Manage MHE Operator’s list and handle key issuance.
  • Comply with responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Think Logistics’ Health and Safety Policies
  • Comply with the requirements for Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices, as applicable to the role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Solid skills in MS Office application, including intermediate MS Excel and MS Access skills
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Critical thinker with the willingness to learn and develop
  • Resourceful and independent, with a “can do” attitude and approach
  • Ability to maintain at all times a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
