What you’ll do

  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and support on all matters related to the PeopleSoft technical environment including software installation and upgrades, set-up of third-party products, support of inbound and outbound data interfaces and batch processing, and overall system maintenance.
  • Ensure consistent performance and availability in the PeopleSoft application and database environment through effective capacity planning and ongoing monitoring and tuning.
  • Routinely monitor system and database log files for error and warning messages and take or recommend corrective action as appropriate to maintain availability. Leverage automated monitoring tools on PeopleSoft technical components in order to achieve availability targets.
  • Identify areas of potential failure or risk and recommend solutions to improve or enhance the environment accordingly.
  • Continuously explore and identify opportunities to enhance and improve the PeopleSoft environment. This includes conducting research by reviewing technical literature, internal documentation, consulting with peers and experts, and eliciting best practice opinions from vendors and other organizations.
  • Provide support, technical advice and expertise to other areas within IT and Finance as it relates to the PeopleSoft environment.
  • Provide afterhours support as required for issue resolution, scheduled system maintenance, release deployments, and patching.

What you bring

  • An action orientation grounded in logical, evidence-based analysis and a disciplined approach to problem-solving and technology management
  • 5-10 Years’ experience in PeopleSoft Technical Administration and Development
  • 5-10 Years’ experience with PeopleSoft Financials v9.2 running within an on-premises Oracle/Linux/Windows technology stack
  • Demonstrated familiarity and expertise with PeopleTools, Application Server, File Server and Process Scheduler components
  • Excellent communication skills
  • In depth experience with Oracle, SQL and related technologies and methods
  • PeopleSoft Functional Administration experience is an asset
