Role Proposition:
Do you enjoy working with power tools and being outside? We are seeking Power Saw Operators to join our Summer Slopes team. Your daily activities will include brush cutting, tree girdling, and working on steep slopes around the resort. Bike parks, golf rounds and lake days await you on your days off. Accountabilities:

• Brush cutting using power and pole saws
• Working on steep slopes and uneven ground
• Tree girdling
• Engage and participate in morning safety meetings and review equipment needs, vehicle assignments, special instructions, PPE requirements, mountain information updates, weather, concerns, successes, etc., setting daily completion goals
• Proper utilization of all safety equipment and PPE required in the performance of daily activities and aligned with WorkSafeBC safety standards
• Ensure that equipment inventories are maintained and tools are available when needed.
• Maintain and ensure all team equipment is in top working order (chainsaws, brush cutters, quads, Side-by-sides and ensure that appropriate action is taken to repair your tools

Ideal Candidate:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one year’s experience with maintenance and safe power saw operation
• High level of knowledge of the controlled recreation area of Sun Peaks Resort and its surrounding area
• Valid BC provincial driver’s license
• Ability to left and carry 50lbs
• Valid First aid certification
• Forest Safety training preferred
• Ability to work as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress
