Processing Operator

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Work effectively within the team environment
  • Operate equipment within IPS standards
  • The ability to bring in and take out shortening using proper oil handling procedures and prepare fryer boil-out
  • Maintain consistent quality product through PAEs and weaklink execution
  • Responsible for start up and shut down procedures
  • Observe Good Manufacturing Practices at all times
  • Complete all required reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Sanitation of equipment as needed
  • Drive completion of PSMs
  • Support with changeover in processing and packaging as required
  • Other duties and/or roles as assigned during a scheduled shift (may include, but not limited to packing, sanitation, boxes, cartons etc.)
  • Process Operator:
    • Complete seasoning testing at required frequency
    • Execute bulk density testing at required frequency

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Required safety and quality regulatory training including PAE, Sensory, AIB matrix, lockout etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customer service, packaging, receiving and other areas in the plant
  • Previous knowledge of waste tracking processes and GEMS data collection procedures would be an asset
  • Mature, responsible, good judgment, attention to details/organizational skills
  • Takes initiative, quick learner, willing to learn new skills
