Role Profile
Position: Production Supervisor
Reports to: District Operations Manager
Job Location: Cranbrook
Job Type: Full-Time
Status: Exempt
Summary of the Role
Provides strong operational support for Service Centre personnel, Account Managers, existing and prospective ERIKS NA customers. Directs and supervises Production associates with regard to prioritizing orders to be processed. This is a multi-functional role and requires a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based, incumbent is considered “on-call” for urgent after hours business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Processes incoming inquiries in to company sales system
  • Quotes customers using working knowledge of product
  • Monitors delivery date commitments and expedites where appropriate
  • Performs basic operations within company operating system, including all transactions related to transfer entries, sales order entry; and inventories;
  • Provides technical/service support to account management, service center management and internal and external customer
  • Supervises warehouse/production and customer service associates.
  • Assembles components, tests, inspects, identifies and packages resale products, as needed
  • Establishes production schedules and assigns jobs to production/warehouse and customer service associates
  • Provides training to team members;
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper operation and repair of warehouse equipment
  • Performs or directs receiving, in-process and final inspections, as required
  • Performs all tests as required by the customer and per company work instruction (WI)
  • Ensures required quality-related documentation is maintained
  • Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements
  • Assists with physical inventory
  • Assists all division associates to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Communicates general and quality-related concerns to management
  • Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships
  • Complies with the employee handbook and company policies governing associate conduct
  • Performs additional duties as assigned;

Background:
  • 2-4 years of experience in industrial sales
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • College degree preferred, will consider equivalents
