Resolution Staffing Inc. is currently working in partnership with a well-established and reputable company to find a Shift Supervisor for their manufacturing facility in Cobourg. This is a great opportunity with a company that offers a great work environment and a great culture.

In this role you will support, guide and lead a team of 8-10 employees. As you start in your new role, you will start on the day shift for 2-3 months. Once trained, you will then move to the afternoon shift.

Our client runs two shifts with no weekend work.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all afternoon shift employees.
• Coach, mentor and guide a team.
• Follow the direction of plans laid out by the Production Manager.
• Follow all safety guidelines, while keeping quality top of mind.
• Coordinate and organize the shift and the team.
• Maintain established safety, quality and production standards.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple jobs simultaneously and managing prioritization of issues daily.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience and knowledge of lean concepts
• 5+ years of production experience
• Forklift/Raymond Reach License
• Mechanically inclined and physically able to learn/do all aspects of the production job
• Experience with ERP
• The ability to think independently, make decisions, and troubleshoot problems
• University or College Diploma/Degree in a technical program would be an asset.

This position in not an office job, we are looking for a candidate who manages by walking/working with the employees.
