The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Programs and Events Leader to join our team. Reporting to the Programs Coordinator, the Programs and Events Leader is responsible for:
  • Attend Programs & Events Leader training and scheduled Programs meetings;
  • Plan daily and weekly activities based on pre-determined themes, ages of participants and available facilities and supplies;
  • Prepare written program plans for submission to and approval by the Programs Coordinator prior to the delivery of activities;
  • Communicate questions and concerns to the Programs Coordinator addressing the quality of the day camp program or behavioral issues;
  • Assist with planning and implementation of the Volunteer Appreciation Party Provide administrative assistance to the Coordinator through completion of lesson plans, attendance sheets, and incident reports, supply and evaluation forms;
  • Promote program to the parents and participants through verbal and written communication, i.e. weekly parent notices;
  • Deliver programs that are responsive to both individual and group needs and interests;

  • Prepare and organize craft and activity supplies and manage equipment inventory, ensure supplies and equipment are stored appropriately at the end of each day;
  • Provide leadership to volunteers who assist in program delivery, direct volunteers in daily functions;
  • Participate in events and special projects as required.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma
  • Education in a related field or comparable mix of education and experience
  • Level 1, 2, or 3 Early Childhood Educator Certificate preferred
  • Previous related experience working with children
  • First aid certification is required
