The Opportunity:
McElhanney Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Project Controller to join our Design Build/P3 Engineering team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our engineering project managers with project controls, financial tracking and forecasting, invoicing, scheduling, document control, and administrative support. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, history in project controls type of work, with ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.

The successful candidate may be based in Calgary, AB or Surrey, BC.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Attend internal and external client meetings with Division and Project Managers to support duties including scope management, scheduling, financial tracking and forecasting, project staffing, conducting workload meetings, notetaking and preparing weekly reports for ongoing project administration.
Assist with preparation of technical reports and documents.
Prepare and issue project invoicing and track subsequent accounts receivable.
Assist with composing letters, memoranda, and e-mail correspondence as necessary.
Optimize and customize existing process and procedures for the various practices.
Lead or assist with other project and administrative tasks as necessary.
Managing incoming and outgoing documents.
Coordination with design teams regarding financials, documents, schedule.
Coordinating change management documents.

What You’ll Bring:
2-5+ years of related experience.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines.
People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.
A motivating and engaging energy with demonstrated strength in leading highly complex groups.
An excellent written and verbal communicator with interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Experience in Primavera would be considered an asset.
