Description

We are looking for a dynamic, talented Project Management Director – Hydrogen Technologies- Americas to join our team specializing in Marketing for our New Power Business located in Mississauga, Canada. This role is designated hybrid and will require 30%-50% of travel.

In this role, the Project Management Director will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leads, manages, and strategically directs the project management department activities for assigned functional areas.
  • Partners with business leaders to identify short and long-term projects to be undertaken; directs needs analysis in collaboration with business leaders to determine project timelines; oversees analysis, project identification, design, budget, communication, and integration; approves business workflow and project design.
  • Directs the assessment of business needs, Project Manager capabilities and available project budgets.
  • Secures senior leadership sponsorship of projects and approval of objectives; keeps business leadership apprised of project status and developments; monitors project success measures and understands the status of specific projects and assignments.
  • Develops, leads, and motivates project management staff; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
  • Formulates annual operational and financial budgets as they relate to unit objectives.
  • Coaches and mentors Project Management Managers and Project Managers; delegates project assignments based on availability, ability, and developmental needs; provides developmental feedback to team members; coaches other Project Managers in managing teams.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required in Business, Engineering, or related fields
  • Green Belt certification required
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations

Experience

  • Significant experience, including managerial and budgetary experience, required.
  • Broad business knowledge required.
  • French as a 2nd language would be a plus.
  • Prior experience working on EPC environment, either as part of EPC company or extensively interfacing with one would be a plus.
  • Responsible for leading activities to help us successfully bid, win, and implement electrolyzer projects, serving our key customers so we can achieve financial target of $250 mill by 2025 and $1b by 2030.
  • Responsible for helping us interface with EPC (engineer procurement and construction), and customer contacts to drive successful project implementation meeting our contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for implementing and ensuring that team is applying consistent processes, tools, that help us mitigate risk and achieve project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with PMO Director in Europe to drive consistency on common tools and processes, to avoid duplication of efforts.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
