Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Professional Practice the Provincial Coordinator of Clinical Training - Psychology works in collaboration with the Regional Professional Practice Consultant for Psychology to coordinate all aspects of the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the psychology pre-doctoral residency training program. This position will be based in St. John's; and housed in Eastern Health. The successful applicant will be involved in both regional and provincial initiatives with respect to psychology training.

This position will be responsible for the development, administration and evaluation of the pre-doctoral residency program in clinical psychology. They will draft, revise, finalize and advertise residency policies and procedures. Communication with supervisors around search and placement processes as well as communication with students around professional development, training concerns, rules and regulations and the search and placement process, is expected. The successful applicant will process residency applications, including student interviews, selection, and orientation, and will provide education sessions and support to residents. This position will also participate in professional accreditation processes, providing applications and annual reports to the Canadian Psychological Association. They will liaise with Program directors, managers, and support staff within Eastern Health and other NL Health Regions where residents are placed, Chair the Psychology Training Advisory Committee and be the liaison with APPIC, and various other educational institutions. They will conduct remediation planning for students, coordinate clinical placement record keeping and generate reports as required. A small clinical component to this position is possible and will be based upon interest.

Job Qualifications
Education
Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is required.
Completion of CPA or APA accredited graduate program and internship preferred.
Registration or provisional registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board is required.

Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of post-licensure clinical experience is required.
Experience providing supervision to psychology residents or practicum students is required.
Previous experience with training program administration is preferred.
Previous experience with CPA or APA self-study and development of pre-doctoral internships is an asset.
