Position: Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs Specialist

CORPORATE OVERVIEW:

Nutralab Canada Corp. is a rapidly growing contract manufacturer of private label dietary supplements. Part of the Honson Pharmatech Group founded in 1995, Nutralab is uniquely positioned in the health contract manufacturing sector in that it offers a complete one-stop-shop service from raw materials sourcing and product formulations to final packaging.

JOB DUTIES:

· Help develop, manage and expand the quality management system on site

· Maintain present licenses and prepare renewal of Site license and SQF certificate

· Respond to all regulatory authorities for any new requirements.

· Obtain all licenses including a wide range of product registrations and renewal including NPNs, Vegan, Kosher etc. for natural health products

· Monitor and help the existing QA/QC team in their daily function and roles to ensure all finished product comply with all product- related regulations

· Assist to manage the HACCP/GMPfor the facility including internal and external audits, supplier quality and product control

· Maintain accurate records in accordance with cGMP regulations mandated by Health Canada

· Edit existing and/or write SOPs

· Review and approve artwork for packaging and packing materials to ensure compliance to legal standards

· Comply with any WHIMIS and Health and Safety requirements

· Attend any required in-house training and off-site training, ensuring all required certification/credentials are up to date

· Ensure products are manufactured and distributed according to legislative requirements including but not limited to regulation set by Health Canada, FDA and other regulatory bodies

· Create and apply for exporting documentation

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree or college diploma in chemistry, biology or related scientific discipline

· Quality Control Certificate, Regulatory Affairs Certificate, HACCP or Food safety certificate or industry experience

· Knowledge and understanding of GMP and Health Canada Regulations for Natural Health Products

· Knowledge of HC requirements for Quality of NHPs and USP methodologies

· Solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook

· Effective analytical problem solving and organizational skills

· Detail-oriented and good written and oral communication skills

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment

· Ability to handle strict deadlines and work under pressure
