Algoma Orchards is a 3rd generation family-run local business who are proud to be known as a leader in Canada's apple farming and packing industry. As an essential service, we provide healthy food to consumers across Canada year-round.

Our local state-of-the-art packing and juice bottling facility in Newcastle, Ontario is currently looking to hire a Permanent Full-Time Reach Truck Operator.
What you will do:

· Pick orders, load and unload trailers

· Label and document Product

· Accurately complete all paperwork

· Work in a safe manner

What you will bring to the Role:

· Experience. You have 2 years of Reach Truck experience and some counterbalance as well.

· You have a friendly, confident, outgoing and positive attitude. You are a good communicator and able to read and write in English.

· You are punctual, reliable, have a willingness to learn, take direction well and yet can work independently

· You have your own transportation to and from work

· Flexible to work a rotation of shifts – days, afternoons and weekends, with the ability to work longer shifts during our busy times. You also have the ability to perform general labour duties when required and are able to lift 50 lb. boxes occasionally.

* You are fully vaccinated.

Schedule: This position works a weekly rotating schedule of days (7am until 5pm) and afternoons (5pm to 3am). Weekend work is available 7am until 5pm.

Wage: $19.50/hour to start + shift premium of .50/hour for afternoons.
