Based at our Edmonton plant location, the Plant Receiver is responsible for unloading and offloading fleet vehicles containing raw materials and/or finished products into the WCRL plant. The Plant Receiver also accurately records the incoming raw materials and responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment at the plant site.
Your own transportation to the workplace is required due to lack of public transportation available. The Edmonton Plant is located just north of Sherwood Park. As a part of West Coast Reduction Ltd.'s hiring process, we request applicants to complete a background check for employment purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Unload raw materials from trucks and trailers into the correct pits and tanks as directed
  • Ensure the accurate completion of paperwork such as HACCP documentation and log sheets
  • Maintain a safe, clear and organized receiving area
  • Record, collect, and replace daily Raw Material Inspection Log sheet
  • Clean receiving areas, including walls, plant equipment, and other plant areas
  • Work with yard staff to unload received product
  • May be asked to safely operate forklifts and other hoisting devices when necessary
  • Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands
  • Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities as per Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and all West Coast Reduction Ltd. policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Strong knowledge of all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP practices
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills
  • Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
  • Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily
  • Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and exposure to animal by-products
