The Canmore Health & Wellness Centre is a busy multi-disciplinary clinic downtown Canmore. We are looking for a part-time receptionist/patient relationship coordinator. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

- Welcoming patients and orientating them to the clinic

- Appointment booking

- Answering phone calls

- Receiving payment

- Direct billing to benefits companies

- Light cleaning/sanitizing (sweeping & washing floors, washing windows, cleaning bathrooms, sanitizing commonly touched surfaces, dusting)

Dr. Dawne is the owner and manager of the Canmore Health & Wellness Centre. As her administrative assistant, duties will also include aspects of clinic management, such as: - Communicating protocols to various CHWC clinicians, Coordinating schedules, etc.

Digital workload: Experience with the following programs is an asset but not required;

This position is largely about “fit.” You will be working very closely with Dr. Dawne every day to streamline and facilitate her ability to provide excellent patient care. This is a busy clinic, so a “shorthand” communication style often comes into effect. Much of your work day will be unsupervised. The ability to rapidly switch from one task to another, to prioritize and complete duties with multiple interruptions is a necessary requirement of this position. Patient care is the primary focus, but there will be other duties to complete that are away from the desk, so the successful candidate will expect a combination of sitting and standing with a lot of back-and-forth.

Dr. Dawne is looking for a person who communicates effectively and is comfortable working with the public. As a regulated healthcare provider, Dr. Dawne falls under the Healthcare Professions Act and maintains very strict patient confidentiality. The successful candidate will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
