Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our team at our Grande Prairie branch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.
  • Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals within the branch.
  • Provide contact information for external sources as needed.
  • Take and record telephone, e-mail, or written messages for staff members.
  • Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
  • Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files.
  • Where necessary, assist in the compilation of data for various reports.
  • Ensure all forms and reports are completed as needed.
  • Complete daily bank deposits.
  • Receive and distribute all forms of paper correspondence and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, and courier services,
  • Accept and monitor inbound shipments as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of direct work experience in a receptionist capacity an asset.
  • Ability to type 55 words per minute preferred.
  • General mathematical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering preferred.
  • Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
