Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking a registered nurse to provide individual and group treatment to individuals referred to the Partial Hospitalization Program. The successful candidate will demonstrated skills and abilities in the following: conducting intake/screening sessions, mental health assessments, treatment plan development, evaluation and progress reviews. They will also provide trauma-informed care using a recovery oriented approach and different treatment modalities.
Candidates are required to be a graduate from an approved School of Nursing (University, College, or Registered Practical Nursing Program) with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support BCLS is required as well as current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. The successful candidate must show proven knowledge of psychopharmacology as well as the DSM and have some mental health inpatient and community expertise.
