General Job Description:

Pick up and/or deliver office documents to financial institutions, law offices, courts, City of Greater Sudbury, accountants, other official institutions and other locations as needed. The position also has duties as a receptionist.

A vehicle with valid driver’s license is required. You must be well organized to keep track of legal documents and to operate efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Certify cheques, make deposits, deposit client funds and submit mortgage payouts, as requested.

Deliver and pick up cheques/documents, as requested.

Court filing and pickups (i.e. articles, notice of change, divorce certificate, orders, statement of claim, affidavits, wills, estates, motions, amalgamations, minute books, etc.).

Submit/deliver searches, pay taxes, receipts, submit cheques, as requested.

Registered mail, parcels and mail, as needed.

Register/deliver/pick up and other documents, as needed.

Search, retrieve and file documents, wills and files from onsite and offsite storage, as requested.

Reception Coverage as needed.

Miscellaneous errands (i.e. purchase office supplies, make copies of documents, load paper in photocopier, etc.).

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

Salary: From $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Greater Sudbury, ON P3C 4Y1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
