Safety Watch / OFA 3 Entry Level and Experienced Job at SafetyBoss Inc

From $275 a day

SafetyBoss will be in Dawson Creek during March to hire for Safety Watch and OFA 3 positions. We are preparing for a busy season, some work will not be local to Dawson Creek and travel will be required. Accommodations and living out subsistence will be provided.

The primary responsibilities of a safety watch will be to work closely with all personnel on-site to make sure that all hazards are identified and controls are put in place, legislation is adhered to, evacuation, and emergency response procedures. All personnel is required to follow SBI policies, procedures, Industry Recommended Practices, and OHS Regulations.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Communication Skills – verbal and written (accurate documentation, safety meetings)
  • Problem Solving Skills – hazard assessments and corrective actions, troubleshooting equipment
  • Physical Ability – able to stand for long periods of time and walk up to 10km a day. Occasional carrying of heavy objects of up to 50lbs is required
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • H2S Alive (provided training if required)
  • Standard First Aid/CPR – Level C (provided training if required)
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)

Schedule and Salary Expectations:
Salary: Wage will be determined in accordance with skills and experience
Hours: Shift work, minimum 12 hr. days
