Position Overview

Basecamp Property Management is looking for a Sales Manager to provide support to the Revenue Team in managing 11 lodging properties. This role will report to and work very closely with the Revenue Manager and will be responsible for mining new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, guaranteeing client satisfaction, securing and managing existing accounts across all Basecamp Properties. As the Sales Manager for Basecamp Properties a key focus of the role will be our new property MTN HOUSE.

MTN HOUSE by Basecamp will be a new luxury property added to the Basecamp Properties portfolio. MTN HOUSE will have 99 newly renovated hotel rooms, an elevated fine dining restaurant and a Nordic Spa (opening July 2024). MTN HOUSE will represent a luxurious hotel, with all amenities right on location, so all guests can enjoy an experience like no other in the heart of the mountains.

Salary: based on experience

Full-time: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

- Implement effective sales strategies to maximize the generation of sales/revenue. This can be a collaboration with our marketing team.
- Actively acquire new business and maintain existing accounts through our booking platforms, prospecting, planned sales calls, and solicitations.
- Develop and maintain relationships and contact with key clients.
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters. Upon booking, prepare sales contracts, coordinate, and follow up with all hotel operations to ensure delivery of promised service/product.
- Coordinate and participate in sites, FAMs, industry & trade functions and shows.
- Implement Property Sales System to track, solicit and follow up on accounts.
- Acknowledge and monitor competition’s sales and marketing strategies and collect market and competitive intelligence to assist in developing strategic plans in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Solicit client’s post event satisfaction, regardless of where it was executed.

Requirements

- Two years’ experience in a related hospitality role.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data.
- Experience in using Excel to manipulate data.
- Open to growth in the role as the company expands.
- Driver’s license
