Description

ConocoPhillips Canada Crude & NGL Marketing is hiring a Crude & NGL Scheduler to join our Canadian team. This role is responsible forscheduling and nominating products on an assigned group of pipelines and terminals, and ensuring all positions are accurately represented. This role is the primary contact for production and operations groups internally, ensures all equity and third-party transactions of crude and NGL are scheduled in a timely and professional manner, gathers pipeline specific intelligence and shares information with the traders.

This role is on a 5/2 schedule based out of the Calgary office.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with internal and external counterparties to schedule daily movements on pipelines, railroads, and trucks as well as manage tank inventories at COP sites and in third-party storage
  • Prepare, submit, and manage monthly pipeline, rail, and truck terminal nominations
  • Maintain daily the monthly supply/demand balance and equity production forecasts
  • Provide external reporting to support cross border movements, bad order/astray rail car management, and required regulatory filings
  • Provide a constant flow of communication to the trading group as it pertains to commercial positions and situations that may impact the market
  • Identify and communicate to the trading group opportunities to optimize upstream and downstream movements to maximize value for COP
  • Provide settlement support to the accounting group and act as the first point of contact to reconcile pipeline/counterparty invoices
  • Provide on-call support – evenings and weekends
  • Build strong industry relationships with midstream, production, and refining counterparties

Qualifications


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • Existing knowledge of Canadian crude oil logistics preferred
  • Experience with rail & truck crude oil logistics preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
  • Travel requirements – 2 to 4 trips/year
