Seasonal Book-keeper and Sales/Delivery Coordinator Job at Maritime Sod
SEASONAL WORK- late April until Early-mid November
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments on a day-to-day basis during our farming and sod sales season. This will include working closely with our Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company. Experience with Sage Accounting system is an asset.
Sales, coordination of delivery and customer care are important duties within this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for diligently managing the sales and delivery of sod to our landscaping clients and homeowners alike from our office and depot in Quispamsis . This will require working closely with the owners/management and staff at our farm in Amherst, NS and our delivery/logistics partners in Quispamsis. Providing friendly, attentive service to our customers is a critical function as we build our business in the broader Saint John area, from Sussex to St. Stephen, NB.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months
Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
- Sales / Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
