Requirements

• BC Security License
• BC Class 5 Driver's License and have a reliable vehicle
• Written and oral communication skills
• Resident within Greater Victoria area
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Able to do foot patrol and stand for long periods of time

The Role

Themis Security is currently looking to fill part-time Security Guard position in Langford. This is a static security position with an emphasis on reporting, observation and deterrence. Your specific responsibilities will be outlined during the interview stage but you will always be:

• Providing a visual security presence and deterrence.
• Assisting clients where necessary
• Promoting a safe work environment
• Completing timely and accurate reports

As an On-Site Guard, you will be responsible for completing all assigned site-specific tasks while maintaining communication throughout your shift with a Team Lead and/or Dispatch.

This site requires the use of your personal vehicle to drive the site during your patrols. You will be issued a gas allowance above your wage to account for the use of your vehicle. The perfect candidate for this position will have a positive attitude, ability to adapt to changes on the site, ability to work alone while remaining diligent and alert, and be responsible for the site during the shift hours.

* You must work at least 24 hour per week and be employed for over 90 days in order to qualify.

Shifts

• 10-12 hour shifts
• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 20:00-06:00 and 18:00-06:00
• Overnight availability - Themis Security is a 24/7 operation, preference will be given to those with a flexible schedule.

Must be able to commit to the schedule as it's set out, these shifts are permanent and long term.

Salary: Up to $21.50 per hour
