The Senior Analyst will analyze data from multiple data sets with the goal of identifying, developing and supporting insightful recommendations focused on our network performance. Reporting to the Manager, Optimization and Analytics, the Senior Analyst will assist in the translation of data insights into actionable recommendations. This individual will aid in support and improving of key applications in the Dealer Relations’ team by leverage their automation and data analysis skill set to improve processes. This individual will also support the Dealer Relations’ mandate to foster a collaborative relationship between the Corporation, CTDA and Dealers to enable the successful execution of CTC strategies and initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Build and improve models and data mining techniques which help assess the overall health of our Dealer network performance.

  • Review and support current key applications within the division and where possible, enhance analysis with the use of statistical methods to provide support on findings

  • Develop reporting dashboards & reports to translate complex data into actionable insights across the organization

  • Query, extract and transform raw data from multiple data warehouses to conduct key insight and in-depth analysis of customer interactions across various channels

  • Develop and improve key reporting tools using MS Access, MS Excel and VBA code.

  • Develop and maintain internal databases.

  • Be responsible for and improving the management and handling of data and act as the Dealer Relations data steward.

  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to influence decision-making with data

What you bring

  • Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to create links in Data to build a story.

  • Ability to identify root cause of issues, recommend solutions and proven ability to draw tangible conclusion from complex and varied data sets

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access

  • Retail Experience is considered an asset

  • Demonstrated organization skills, enabling efficient prioritization of work

  • 5+ years of professional experience demonstrating advanced analytical abilities

  • University degree or College Diploma (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field an asset)

  • Ability to program in MS-Access & Excel using Visual Basic is a must, good working knowledge of SQL scripting language

  • Experience in Automation Platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps and Excel VBA as well as data preparation, analysis, and statistical tool sets including Power BI, Python, Knime, Power Suites.

  • Collaborate across teams to create synergies and support with analytical solutions and automation.

  • Collaborate across teams to bridge the knowledge gap between data and analytics.

  • Support teams with delivery of effective storylines.

  • Manage project timelines through effective communication and feedback loops.
