Senior Frontend Developer (React) - Remote Job at PerkinElmer
PerkinElmer is building exciting new products around Clinical Analytics. We are solving many difficult problems that enable researchers to discover new drug therapies more efficiently and clinicians to pinpoint safety issues quickly.
Our innovative solutions utilize cloud platforms, Big Data technologies, persona based-workflows and visual analytics tools to enable scientists to interact with data on demand resulting in accelerated decision-making.
Position Responsibilities
We are a fast-moving team looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with a passion for creating software and impactful products. We work in small teams in an agile manner. This will require working in a team environment to collaborate with UX/UI designers, DevOps, and fellow engineers to implement innovative for new products.
The ideal candidate has delivered complex single page applications (SPA) and will be comfortable with a variety of technologies and frameworks to deliver exceptional web solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Demonstrated hands-on experience coding and building web applications
3-5+ years’ experience designing, developing, and supporting large scale modern single page web applications in a cloud environment
3-5+ years’ experience building web applications with frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
Preferred Qualifications:
Practical experience developing re-useable web components and single page applications (SPA)
Proficiency with Typescript, Javascript, HTML, CSS
Proficiency with React frameworks (Cypress, Next.js, Storybook)
Experience building web applications that interact (synchronously or asynchronously) with back-end microservices
Experience building and deploying web applications that leverage application containerization platforms such as Docker / Kubernetes
Experience designing and coding web applications with AWS services (Route53, ECS, ALB, S3)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Creative problem-solving skills
Excellent work ethic and desire to learn and take on new challenges
Practical experiencing working within an agile methodology (Scrum)
Bonus Points...
Experience with API gateways or reverse proxy servers (Nginx, Apache)
Experience with GraphQL
Experience with integration web applications with application monitoring platforms (APM) such as Instana, New Relic, Data Dog
Experience with Data Visualization and Analytics platforms (Tibco Spotfire)
Experience in clinical, bioinformatics or other health sciences
