Senior Project Manager – Glazing Division

Custom Metal Contracting (Glazing Group) Ltd., located in Calgary, Alberta Canada specializes in commercial glazing and shopfronts. CMC manufactures, designs and installs unitized, stick curtain walls including shopfronts.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, reporting directly to the Operations Manager for our Glazing team. This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines for multiple projects in multiple cities and locations.

Glazing & Curtain Wall experience is a MUST

Requirements

Our successful candidate will have minimum 5 to 10 years experience as a commercial glazing project manager with full knowledge of unitized curtainwall, stick and shopfronts. The successful Senior Project manager will provide excellent service to customers and contribute to our team environment.

Qualifications include:

• Project management experience in the glazing industry.
• Working knowledge of unitized & stick curtainwall systems, including storefronts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with Architects, General Contractors, Suppliers and Employees.
• Hard working, self-motivated and a team player
• Organized and detail oriented.

Specific Duties

• Manage Projects from start to finish
• Able to manage a Project team for large scale projects
• Plan and execute the projects scope of work
• Develop and maintain project schedule
• Review all contracts, specifications, addenda, drawings, samples and correspondence including RFI’s
• Procure and transmit samples for approval
• Schedule material procurement
• Complete and maintain project budgets
• Invoice monthly project progress billings with clients and coordinate with our CFO.
• Proficiency in reviewing & developing shop drawings through to the final approval
• Oversea all releases of materials packages including fabrication drawings
• Ensure all work is completed with quality and in accordance with contract requirements
• Track all Site and architectural changes issued and prepare related change orders if required
• Track all costs associated with the projects
• Investigate and resolve disputes including defects and back charges
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum five (5 to 10) years of project management experience in the glazing industry
• MUST be proficient in Microsoft word & Excel, Blue beam, ACAD
