Shipping and Receiving Job at AWG Northern Distribution
AWG Northern Distribution is currently looking to hire energetic and hardworking candidates who are seeking long term employment to join our team at our recently upgraded manufacturing facility.
In this position, you will be exposed to a variety of tasks. If you enjoy a fast paced work environment, have the ability to lift 50lbs and are mechanically inclined, then this may be your perfect opportunity. Prior experience in shipping and receiving is an asset.
Duties:
- Work may involve early morning, weekend work, and late afternoon returns from deliveries
- Provide support and work with the inventory personnel to ensure materials are stored properly
- Provide support for inventory counts to help maintain inventory integrity
- Provide immediate updates on shipping/receiving status to all applicable parties to ensure awareness of any potential problems or concerns
- Work with other departments to ensure operations are running per expectations
- Perform additional and other duties as assigned
- Receiving shipments from suppliers and verifying all goods are accounted for
- Writing up waybill and calling couriers.
- Assisting with organization of warehouse and yard
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Heavy lifting required
- Forklift certificate is an asset.
