Job Description: As a TAFC Academy Technical Coach, you will create and manage the daily learning environment, while overseeing the overall development of players under your supervision. The ultimate goal of the Academy is to develop high-potential players while ensuring the development of each individual to reach their full potential as a human being. We seek experienced head coaches to coach with our soccer academy in the U5 - U16 age groups. Share your passion for sports by becoming a TAFC Coach and joining our winning team.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to Technical Director and follow the direction of the development plans of the Club
  • Regularly report all training, game and player development-related activities
  • Regular and timely submission of weekly/monthly training plans and periodization schedules
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and competitive development environment
  • Manage team and individual goal-setting throughout the year
  • Review and evaluate players' development plans and ensure they stay on their personal development path
  • Ability to develop drills/programming by following the TAFC academy training curriculum and methodology
  • Provide objective data to players for training and games
  • Ability to deliver and contribute to building individual development plans
  • Provide on-field player development support, player assessments and player feedback
  • Provide support for all Academy programming as required
  • Comply with and ensure the Academy Code of Conduct is adhered to by all players
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in operational efficiency within a high-standard-based soccer club

Certifications:

  • Minimum LTPD Certified, C license preferred
  • Respect in Sport (e-Learning) - Required
  • Making Headway in Soccer Concussion Course (Online) - Required
  • Make Ethical Decisions Workshop (Online or In-Class) - Required
  • Active Start U4-U5 - Required for Specific Age Group Only
  • FUNdamentals U6-U8 - Required for Specific Age Group Only
  • Relevant NCCP accreditation is preferred
  • Vulnerable Sector Check

Individual Qualities:

  • Previous coaching experience preferred
  • Passionate about soccer and able to communicate with young soccer players
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Management/leadership experience preferably within children/youth development
  • Broad experiences in topics of sports administration, management and the game of soccer
  • Must be proficient with the MS Office software suite
  • Ability to work in a team environment and under the Club’s vision
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and has a desire to continually learn
  • Experience working with and supporting youth during coaching sessions
  • Ability to coordinate activities for small groups of participants
