The Director of Financing Solutions is our credit expert. He works closely with the Account Managers and several other internal and external partners.

This position reports to the Regional Vice President.

The position could be based in the Laurentians - Abitibi - Outaouais regions depending on the selected candidate.


Your main challenges:

  • Conduct quality credit analyses, according to the standards established by the Credit Center, and make recommendations
  • Structuring the credit application (agenda setting) by mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios that meet the needs of the clients and correspond to the Bank's risk criteria
  • Participate in the development of client financing requirements in collaboration with the EDC Account Manager
  • Negotiate credit terms and conditions with the Credit Centre as required and confirm availability of financing to the EAS Account Manager
  • Obtain feedback from EAS Account Managers on draft credit applications, modify as required, and present to Senior Manager prior to submission to the Credit Center to ensure that they meet the Bank's requirements in terms of overall client profitability
  • Work with Account Officers and the Credit Center to produce documents and update customer files to ensure efficient processing of credit applications
  • Act as a credit resource within the team and support the Senior Manager, as needed, in developing the credit skills of team members.
  • The incumbent must be able to identify the risks inherent in the Personal and Commercial business


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry and six years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the industry and four years of relevant experience OR University/PUB undergraduate certificate and eight years of relevant experience
  • Negotiation experience
  • Commercial credit experience
  • Experience in financial statement analysis
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other platforms typically used in a lending environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners and make recommendations
  • Bilingual (spoken/written) in French and English as you will be working with unilingual English speaking clients
