Job Purpose


Under the general direction of the Labour Coordinator and Labour Manager, the Foreign Worker Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the foreign workers program while ensuring that all rules and regulations are adhered to. The incumbent will coordinate the housing, LMIA, Flights, transportation and medical needs for all foreign workers. In addition, the Foreign Worker Coordinator will troubleshoot any unforeseen issues that may arise.


Job Requirements

  • Coordinate mobilization of the Foreign Workers ("TFW") from initiation to completion of assignment
  • Arrange appointments
  • Complete enrollment: all related forms for foreign workers
  • Complete data entry and maintain employee file management and records to support TFW information
  • Provide translations for location Manager(s) to ensure communication is seamless between TFW and Management
  • Explain duties and roles to the foreign workers so that work expectations are understood and adhered to
  • Consult with various external stakeholders and answer any queries regarding TFW program
  • Communicate with Service Canada regarding the foreign worker program
  • Complete and submit Labour Market Impact Assessments ("LMIA")
  • Understand current trends and requirements for the TFW program
  • Assist with various forms, grants, applications as necessary
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in Coordinator role for foreign workers or relevant experience
  • Knowledge in greenhouse/agricultural industry considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is a must
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must have a Class 5 Driver's License
  • Transportation required to get to/from work & travel between our local facilities
