MyStartr has partnered with Starbucks Coffee Canada to host a virtual hiring event for Barista positions at their Abbotsford, Langley, and Chilliwack locations.

Eligible candidates:

  • Are between 16-30 years old and will register for the MyStartr program
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Have open and flexible availability
  • Have weekend availability
  • Can provide a minimum of 15 hours (3 shifts) of availability per week
  • Live within 20 minutes of transit to either Abbotsford, Langley, or Chilliwack

This job is for YOU, if you have:

  • Ability to create a genuine moment of connection with our customers - making a difference in their day by discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
  • Willingness to learn - using a mix of online learning, classroom training and hands on mentorship you’ll learn how to prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients.
  • Availability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
  • Openness to getting the job done and helping your team in a dynamic retail environment.

NOTE: No previous experience required. How MyStartr Works:

1) Registration for the MyStartr Program is open to young people aged 15 to 30 that are legally eligible to work in Canada.

2) Our Youth Coaches will contact you to participate in job exploration, interview preparation, workshops and coaching to help you become interview-ready.

3) Our Youth Coaches will work to match you with upcoming employment opportunities in your city, and get you registered for a guaranteed interview if you meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the role.

4) Participate in one of our digital hiring events, with the opportunity to receive feedback about your interview

5) Land the job!
