Retail Studio Manager, Mississauga Location
(35 - 40 hrs/week+), must be available to work weekends and some evenings

Crock A Doodle Paint your own Pottery studio is a fun and colourful retail concept located in north Mississauga. We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to oversee and manage this business. We need a retail manager with a proven track record for success, ideas to build local brand awareness and loads of energy to plan and execute successful events. This is an exciting and challenging role with great perks and potential for the right candidate.

Crock A Doodle is Canada’s own paint your own pottery company with 34 locations and growing. We bring people together to create, laugh, share and grow. Guests enjoy creative together-time transforming ready-to-paint pottery pieces into their own amazing works of art. We professionally glaze and kiln-fire pieces to a brilliant finish to become functional dish ware, unique souvenirs, one-of-a-kind gifts and precious keepsakes.

Responsibilities

· Manage and oversee the studio

· Follow systems to ensure success

· Set the tone for a fun, friendly environment with service people will talk about

· Hire, train and develop the best staff to deliver the WOW

· Manage scheduling, inventory, events and daily administration

· Oversee the pottery glaze and kiln production process

· Execute local studio marketing activities to build brand buzz

· Build and leverage local community contacts

· Plan successful events in-studio and out in the community

· Communicate actively and openly with your Head Office team

· Be accountable to drive the overall performance of the studio

Qualifications

· Previous experience in a busy retail setting, with store level management experience

· Over-the-top customer service orientation

· A passion for creativity and desire to share it with others (no art experience is required!)

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Positive team player and infectious personality

· A self-motivated multi-tasker, who enjoys busy and is not easily overwhelmed

Compensation

Salary: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
