Support Worker Job at Brockville Housing Partnership
Operating as part of a team, the support worker will assist the team lead to manage the overnight activities of the Centre, providing meals and shelter to those who are homeless.
A Successful Candidate will:
- Be a person of integrity;
- Show a commitment to assisting homeless and at-risk persons;
- Be able to stay calm when confronted with stressful situations and be assertive to de-escalate potentially volatile situations;
- Be comfortable dealing with individuals under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and with individuals suffering with mental health issues;
- Ensure that services are delivered within a stable, safe, and respectful environment;
- Provide a valid criminal check;
- Understand the COVID-19 protocols in place
- Work co-operatively with volunteers
