We are presently accepting resumes for a number of Permanent Full-Time Support Worker III positions. These positions will be assigned to work in our group homes in Barrie, working up to 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation Package:

  • Additional hours may be available with a minimum rate of pay of $25.32/hour;
  • 11 paid Statutory Holidays;
  • Confidential Employee Assistance program for you and for your immediate family;

Following the successful completion of probation:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • S.W. diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child & Youth Worker, E.C.E., S.S.W., Nursing, Psychology, etc.) as determined by the employer is required;
  • Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people;
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours;
  • A valid class "G" driver's license and own reliable transportation is an asset;

Role/Duties:

Our Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities include providing support for personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
