System Administrator, Information Technology & Information Management (IT/IM) – Full Time

KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area.

The Information Technology, Information Management Team (IT/IM) has an immediate opening for a System Administrator. Reporting to the Manager, IT/IM, the System Administrator is responsible for daily operation, monitoring and technical support for a number of diverse hardware and software systems; providing systems and server administration support primarily in a Windows environment; maintaining appropriate security and auditing configurations for corporate computing applications; implementing new installations, upgrades and capacity planning for the products and services used to support the applications; and providing timely and quality customer support.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree, with a technical major (i.e., computer science, engineering) or equivalent; current relevant technical certification (i.e., MSCE, CISSP, or equivalent Microsoft certification); 5 to 7 years system administration experience in a corporate network computing environment; VDI deployment experience an asset; current knowledge of operating systems, LAN/WAN configuration including Ethernet, TCP/IP, VM, Remote Access and VPN; and the ability to communicate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
