We are currently seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 SharePoint Specialist to join our team who will be instrumental in our digital journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SharePoint architecture from scratch, tailored to meet the specific needs of the Engineering firm.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes to design and deploy SharePoint solutions.
  • Design, configure, and customize SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows to support various functions such as CAD, Design, Project Management, and Operations.
  • Test and integrate Dynamics and other applications into a SharePoint based workflows as needed;
  • Provide SharePoint training and information sessions, including how-to guides and training videos to end users;
  • Stay up to date with changes to SharePoint services and their effect on deployed applications;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery and optimize end user experience;
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of SharePoint with other systems and applications within the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions;
  • Perform data retrieval and backup procedures;
  • Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data;
  • Ensure compliance to legislative requirements, and company policies and procedures;
  • Mentor a junior level SharePoint developer/administrator to perform backup duties and assigned duties as required;
  • Oversee, manage and administer Microsoft Teams creation and permissions;
  • Provide regular reports on SharePoint statistics; and,
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related discipline;
  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Developer Associate would be a strong asset;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role;
  • Proficiency with using and troubleshooting SharePoint applications;
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities;
  • Experience in SharePoint and Dynamics integrations;
  • Experience in providing SharePoint services to engineering users would be an asset;
  • Proficiency in SharePoint customization using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), client-side scripting (JavaScript, TypeScript), and other development tools would be a an asset;
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to provide solutions to complex technical issues;
  • Ability to make recommendations to SharePoint processes; and,
  • Strong time management skills.
