Telecom / Security Technician Job at Phone Experts
The Phone Experts Group is a privately owned company with Business offices in Red Deer, Calgary, Banff and Medicine Hat. We are an all-in-one solutions provider. Through our Group of companies we are able to offer a unique combination of Telecom and Security products and services all over Alberta.
We are currently hiring a Permanent Full-Time Telecom/Security Technician in Banff.
Job Responsibilities:
· Installation, testing, troubleshooting of structured cable components.
- Diagnose, install, maintain and repair telecom and security equipment.
- Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software.
· Handle a physically demanding workload (up to 60 lbs.) which includes heavy lifting, climbing ladders, work at heights, crawling in confined spaces and working in all weather conditions.
· Self-motivated, demonstrate effective decision-making skills and can work with limited supervision.
· Follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations.
What you need:
· Your own basic hand tools
· Fluent in English, with demonstrated professional oral and written communications skills
· Ability to plan, organize and thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
· Good understanding of network infrastructures
· Strong troubleshooting skills
· Exhibit enthusiasm to continuous learning, high performance and have a demonstrated ability to learn and apply learned skills to related situations.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Be able to pass a background check.
· Travel and out of town work is required. Company Vehicle and accommodation provided.
Preferred 1 year experience in Telecommunication and/or Security industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $47,500.00-$62,500.00 per year
