Position Summary


Sasco Contractors Ltd. is a growing electrical contractor and is actively seeking a full time, Monday to Friday, Warehouse Coordinator/Delivery Truck Driver to be located at 114-3060 Norland Ave Burnaby, BC.


Materials being delivered to the job sites on-time is a crucial aspect to the success of a project. The Warehouse Coordinator’s main responsibility will be to deliver materials, equipment, tools and supplies to job sites using the Sasco delivery truck, as well as assisting the Warehouse Manager in the daily managing of warehouse activities.


This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.


Key Job Duties and Responsibilities


Work shall include but not necessarily be bound by the following:

  • Delivery of materials, equipment, tools and supplies to job sites, to/from suppliers.
  • Pickup of recycling and waste from job sites.
  • Pack and load materials onto trucks according to company’s specifications.
  • Maintain records for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
  • Maintain all areas clear for people to safely walk through the warehouse.
  • Receive material delivered to the warehouse.
  • Keep the parking lot clean for vehicles to park and drive into the warehouse.
  • Order materials (vacation relief).
  • Monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Sign tools in and out of the warehouse to jobs.
  • Performs other functions within the scope of the warehouse for the purpose or providing warehousing operations, as needed.

Competency Requirements

  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, suppliers and customers.
  • Good organizational skills with ability to plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Excellent driving skills with the ability to maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Working hours are 7AM to 3PM.
  • Flexibility to adjust daily work hours to meet the needs of job sites.
  • Lifting and maneuvering of heavy packages involved.
  • Familiar with the lower mainland; downtown Vancouver to Chilliwack.

Education and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 1-years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License with a clean driving record for the last 12 months (Driver's abstract required).
  • Forklift license (an asset).
