Job Description: Warehouse/Shipper/Receiver (60%)

Delivery Driver (40%)

Job Summary

Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received. Pick and pack goods, develop shipping labels and documents, and ensure that all orders have been picked and packed correctly. Responsible for verifying incoming shipments, ensure accuracy of goods matching shipping documents and purchase orders. Also, responsible for making deliveries as needed. This position requires operation of a company vehicle.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Warehouse/Shipper/Receiver – (60%)

Acts as a liaison between warehouse and order desk; Picks and packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions.

Determines method of shipment and preparing all required and supporting documentation. Ensures timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.

Receives merchandise - checks and signs delivery slips and assists with unloading. Affixes barcodes, tags, and security tags, and may operate forklift, hand trucks, or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.

Inspects and verifies incoming goods against purchase orders or other documents, records shortages, and rejects damaged goods.

Organizes distribution and shipping of merchandise. Makes necessary verifications against documents, unpacks, and routes goods to appropriate storage areas.

Takes inventory, maintains storage area, organizes, and places stock on shelves.

Ensures area is secure at all times.

Performs routine inspection of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety

Plans route to and from customers' businesses and adjusts for traffic and/or construction

Ensures that manifests are complete and accurate

Delivery Driver – (40%)

Delivers merchandise to customer and contacts customer if they are not present

Loads truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customer

Pulls orders to match manifest

Prepares and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures

Provides assistance to resolve customer issues

Nature and Scope

Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment

Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.

Education and Experience

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Must be eighteen years of age

Valid Driver's License

Must provide Driver's Abstract

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
