Responsibilities

· Set-up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines

· Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products

· Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces

· Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products

· Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions

· Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment

· Replace parts as required

Requirements

· No specific education required

· Experience in machine operation an asset

· Must be able to speak French OR English

· Must be able to work in a noisy or dusty environment

· Must be able to handle load up to 23 kg (50lb)

· Must show manual dexterity

· Must show attention to detail

· Must have good hand-eye coordination

· Must e able to stand for extended periods
