Head Office Corporate Services Inc. provides exceptional value and service to a wide range of business owners across western Canada. We are currently searching for an experienced Accounting Technician to become a part of our team.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Technician’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Accounts receivable: Enter billing information according to client procedures, maintain accounts receivable customer files, reconcile client accounts, and process monthly statements.
  • Accounts payable: Enter vendor invoices for payment, monitor client staff on data entry of vendor invoices and credit card receipts for payment, reconcile vendor accounts and statements, and maintain updated vendor files.
  • Business services: Reconcile bank and credit card statements and loan accounts, update weekly/monthly cash flow report, maintain and update client insurance information, and prepare reports as requested.

EDUCATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a mid-level position in full-cycle accounting.
  • 1-2 years’ experience mentoring a diverse group of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understand the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other accounting standards and practices.
  • Have experience with cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel and Word, MS Teams, Smart Sheets and Adobe Pro.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail to accurately identify errors and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate effectively with others, contribute to team goals, and communicate clearly.
  • Be able to prioritize tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including time management and multitasking abilities.
