Position: Cost Analyst
Location: Ottawa (east of Orleans)
Salary: $65,000 to $85,000 plus group benefits, performance bonus, RRSP, etc.

An excellent opportunity for a Cost Analyst with experience in manufacturing looking for that next step in their career.

Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing the cost of goods sold, variances and performing end of period analyses contributing to the sound fiscal management of the organization and its divisions.

Responsibilities:

- Adhere to standard costs, perform gap analysis, track actual costs against standard costs, and analyze variances
- Support plant operations by performing financial analysis; maintain cost standards in the ERP system
- Prepare monthly sales, cost, and profitability reports
- Play a key role in plant inventory activities
- Reinforce internal control measures and audit activities
- Play a proactive role improvement project, and maintain appropriate communication with all divisions relating to costing and inventory matter

Qualifications:

- Bachelor/ Diploma in accounting, finance, or experience in a related position
- Experience in manufacturing specific to costing and inventory is necessary
- Experience with an ERP system is strong asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, advance Excel
- Strong aptitude for costing, financial using performance indicators
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong people skills, demonstrating flexibility, results oriented
- Open-minded and able to adapt to changes
- Bilingual, French and English

Il s'agit d'une excellente occasion pour un analyste des coûts ayant de l'expérience dans le domaine de la fabrication et cherchant à franchir une nouvelle étape dans sa carrière.

Relevant du contrôleur, l'analyste des coûts est responsable de l'examen et de l'analyse du coût des marchandises vendues, des écarts et des analyses de fin de période, contribuant ainsi à la saine gestion financière de l'organisation et de ses divisions.

Responsabilités :

- Respecter les coûts standard, effectuer une analyse des écarts, suivre les coûts réels par rapport aux coûts standard et analyser les écarts
- Soutenir les opérations de l'usine en effectuant des analyses financières ; maintenir les normes de coûts dans le système ERP
- Préparer des rapports mensuels sur les ventes, les coûts et la rentabilité
- Jouer un rôle clé dans les activités d'inventaire de l'usine
- Renforcer les mesures de contrôle interne et les activités d'audit
- Jouer un rôle proactif dans le projet d'amélioration et maintenir une communication appropriée avec toutes les divisions en ce qui concerne le calcul des coûts et les questions d'inventaire

Qualifications professionnelles :

- Baccalauréat/diplôme en comptabilité, en finance ou expérience dans un poste connexe
- Expérience dans le domaine de la fabrication, en particulier en matière de calcul des coûts et d'inventaire, est nécessaire
- Expérience d'un système ERP est un atout majeur
- Excellente connaissance de MS Office, notamment d'Excel
- Forte aptitude au calcul des coûts et à l'utilisation d'indicateurs de performance dans le domaine financier
- Grande attention aux détails, à la résolution de problèmes et à la prise de décision
- Solides aptitudes relationnelles, flexibilité, orientation vers les résultats
- Ouverture d'esprit et capacité à s'adapter aux changements
- Bilingue, français et anglais
